About Saint Peter's Prep

Founded in 1872, Saint Peter’s Prep is a Catholic, Jesuit high school and has stood proudly as one of New Jersey’s premier educational institutions. Prep is located in the historic Paulus Hook neighborhood on the Jersey City waterfront and serves a diverse and high-achieving student body of approximately 900 young men, who represent 117 different communities in 13 New Jersey counties, plus New York City and Long Island. Prep's  academic, athletic, co-curricular, spiritual and service programs aim to foster in students an understanding of the world and the courage to advance the common good. As a Jesuit school, Prep equips students to strive not only for individual success, but for personal and spiritual growth that will prepare them to live as men for and with others.
