Job Summary:

The Senior Donor Manager qualifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards high capacity donors who are passionate about demonstrating their love too hard to reach people living in poverty overseas. This person will deepen relationships with donors in order to grow their philanthropy to change the lives of forsaken people for generations to come, and to deepen the donor's relationship with Corus International.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Establish and build relationships with assigned donors through phone calls, virtual visits, mailings, emails, texts and, when safe, personal visits. Connect the donor's passion for their neighbors everywhere with people in need worldwide through the Moves Management steps of discovery, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Manage a qualified caseload of 150 donors to provide meaningful donor engagement with the goal of the upgrading of a donor's gift.
  • Keep current records for each assigned donor in Raisers Edge NXT, including actions, proposals, background information, contact information, personal interests, and other relevant information.
  • Thank donors for their gifts promptly and use the time of stewardship to lay groundwork for the next solicitation.
  • Collaborate with people throughout the organization, but especially within the department of External Relations and Engagement to develop and implement organizational strategies and goals.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  1. Skill and demonstrated success in soliciting and closing proposals for major gifts, planned gifts, and annual gifts, with 2 years or more of experience preferred;
  2. Experience in using Raiser's Edge or similar fundraising database software;
  3. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  4. Experience using donor research tools in the development process;
  5. Knowledge and experience in Moves Management and donor engagement strategies;
  6. Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
  7. Comfortable communicating with donors in a variety of modes, such as personal visits, virtual visits, phone calls, email, texting, etc.

 

Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree in a related field;
  2. Minimum of 7 years of experience in Donor relations or a related field

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

 

Work authorization:

  • U.S. citizenship or a valid U.S. work permit is an absolute requirement.
