This position is under the direct supervision of the Chief
Executive Officer. This position is responsible for creating
and administering a comprehensive development strategy. This
position will oversee grant-making, marketing, and
special events and will maintain, enhance, and diversify the
organization’s comprehensive funding capabilities. This
position will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer to
develop and enrich constituent and donor relationships.
The Chief Development Officer will collaborate with the Board of
Directors and Chief Executive Officer to create a
fund development plan which increases revenues to support the
strategic direction of the organization.
BA/BS from accredited college/university
- Self-starter, enthusiastic, aggressive, a people person, creative, goal-oriented, and a visionary
- Experience with and strong comprehension of how to develop long term, strategic relationships
- Understanding of government funding requirements and proposals
- Ability to build relationships and work well with corporate and community leaders
- Must possess a valid Georgia Driver’s License an acceptable Criminal Background Check and pre-employment
- Five years of experience in multi-faceted development and sales/marketing/public relationswork in which you were fully responsible for outcomes
