World Monuments Fund (WMF) is seeking a qualified professional for the role of Grants Manager to contribute to our global, creative, and inclusive organization.

This individual will help grow the organization’s foundation, corporate, and government portfolios, with a special emphasis on government funders. Responsibilities include prospect research, writing and submitting proposals, grant reporting, and timely gift acknowledgements and other correspondence for both new and existing funders. The Grants Manager reports to the Director of Institutional Giving.

Major areas of responsibilities and related tasks include:

• Write and manage the submission of compelling letters of inquiries, grant proposals, funder presentations, and other fundraising materials, including budgeting and financial reporting

• Work collaboratively with WMF staff to gather information and materials for proposals, funder updates, and grant reporting

• Prepare research and other materials for senior leadership in preparation for donor/prospect meetings

• Manage institutional giving calendar, including oversight of application and reporting schedule, grant compliance, and deliverables

• In partnership with the Director of Institutional Giving, assist with developing and implementing a fundraising strategy to increase giving from foundations, corporations, and government agencies

• Proactively research, build, and cultivate pipelines of prospective funders, matching their interests with the mission and strategic vision of WMF to support our highest priorities

• Assist with the stewardship of existing institutional funders and suggest meaningful ways for them to engage with the work of WMF

• Maintain centralized and current file of key organizational data

• Use Raisers Edge database to enter action items, track application and report deadlines, monitor stewardship activities, and create reports in conjunction with the Database Administrator

• Other responsibilities as agreed upon


Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree; Major in English, Art History, Architecture, International Relations, or other relevant area preferred

• 4+ years of experience in fundraising, grant writing, and prospect research

Skills

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work well with colleagues at all organizational levels

• Experience in researching and preparing successful proposals for foundations, corporate, and particularly government funders

• Highly organized and detail oriented, with a demonstrated ability to manage and track multiple priorities and projects, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment

• Abilities to compile, report, and analyze information succinctly

• Results-oriented

• Excellent computer skills including proficiencies in Microsoft Office Suite; general database knowledge required; familiarity with Raisers Edge a plus
