Position Overview: ISP is seeking an accomplished, visionary fundraising expert. Reporting to the ISP Executive Director, the Director of Advancement is responsible for all fundraising and development activities, with an emphasis on cultivating, securing, and retaining major gifts.  She/he takes the lead on establishing and implementing a development strategy needed to sustain an annual budget of $1.5M through major gift solicitation and stewardship, annual appeals, special events, corporate and foundation support, internal and external communications, and support of the 29+ ISP affiliates and their fundraising activities.  As part of the management team, she/he will play a critical role in the guiding and executing the organizational strategic plan over the next 3 years. Organization Description & Mission: The Ignatian Spirituality Project (ISP) provides experiences of hope, belonging, and healing to men and women who are in recovery from homelessness and addiction.  Through retreats, days of reflection, and on-going spiritual reflection run by volunteer teams, ISP offers participants a chance to reclaim their dignity and to recover hope for a meaningful life.  Founded in 1998, ISP is a ministry of the Midwest Jesuits; the retreat program is informed by the wisdom of Ignatian spirituality and 12-step recovery programs.  ISP programs, run by volunteer teams trained by a central network office, operate in 29 cities across the U.S., Canada, and Ireland.  Now entering its 3rd decade, ISP is growing in both depth and width, and is a national model for a vibrant, sustainable ministry.  The Director of Advancement will play a key role in shaping the future direction of this dynamic, evolving, mission-driven organization.
