Fundraising Consultant sought to dramatically expand RespectAbility’s fundraising success.

POSITION SUMMARY

RespectAbility is seeking a high-impact proven fundraising consultant to help us get to the next level. We are a relatively new and rapidly expanding nonprofit that fights stigmas and advances opportunities for diverse people with disabilities. The majority of our extremely talented team are people with disabilities and half of our board and a quarter of our staff identify as members of BIPOC and/or LGBTQ communities. We are achieving breakthrough results on behalf of the millions of people with disabilities, but urgently need funds to achieve maximum impact. We prefer people located near our offices in Rockville, Maryland, or Los Angeles, California but will consider people in other locations.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven record in high-impact fundraising. This could be from high net worth individuals, government or foundation grants, or corporations. We are not interested in galas, ticketed events, direct mail or online fundraising. We want donors who are mission-driven and want high impact and dramatic systems change.
  • Strong commitment to the mission and vision of the organization, including diversity, equity and opportunity for people of all backgrounds and abilities.
  • Ability to work with CEO, board and staff to identify, research and connect with potential funding sources.
