General Statement of Duties: The Director for the Office of Grants and Sponsored Research is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the development and administration of externally funded grants and contracts and related research functions for faculty and staff. Under the direction of the Vice President for University Advancement, the Director will play an active and engaged role in the cultivation of grant funds to support current and future University initiatives, aligning the office's work with the University's strategic plan and mission.
The Director will be responsible for all facets of the preparation, production and management of grant proposals to foundations, government agencies and corporations including prospect research, cultivation, proposal development, stewardship, contract administration, budget management, time and effort reporting, event planning, database management and institutional compliance. They will coordinate with faculty and administrators in the preparation and management of grant projects that are institutional, departmental, multidisciplinary and individual-based research.
