Chief Development Officer, Social Services

Our organization is a Morris county NJ, based social services nonprofit serving the Morris County community. We offer lasting solutions to the problems of hunger, homelessness, and poverty. We are well funded, professionally managed and in the midst of a very significant strategic reorientation that will fundamentally change us and allow us to service many more clients.

The role reports to the senior leader in the organization. We are looking for an experienced hands on Development Officer who can take our fundraising activities to the next level. This role plans, coordinates and assures implementation of strategies to develop donors and contributions to support the organization. The role assures development and maintenance of appropriate systems to fund development including but not limited to volunteer and donor management, research and cultivation, gift processing and recognition. The role is also changed with maintaining accountability and compliance standards for donors and funding sources.

We are in the midst of a multimillion-dollar fund raising campaign and this person will be expected to take over the reins and run with it.  We are looking for a candidate with the passion to help us build our organization to the next level. Ability to be hands on, multitask, and a good team player are critical. Smart and engaging are important success factors.
