Director of Finance
The Academy of the Holy Angels in Demarest, New Jersey, is seeking a Director of Finance. This position reports directly to the school President. Primary responsibilities include maintaining and controlling all accounting and financial records pertaining to the school, students, faculty and other employees. The Director of Finance disburses all advancement revenues in accordance with procedures established by the President and the Board of Trustees in collaboration with the Advancement Office. The Director oversees the process of billing and collection of applicable fees, oversees all benefits and insurance programs pertaining to the school, presents audit materials for the yearly audit, oversees payroll and retirement plans and in collaboration with the school President determines financial aid and scholarship awards for student families. The Director also prepares the school’s annual operating budget, in conjunction with the President and the appropriate committee of the Board of Trustees. In addition, the Director of Finance is required to participate in all meetings of the Board of Trustees, the Board’s Finance and Investment Committees and collaborate with the board’s Facilities Committee. Experience in an academic or school setting preferred.
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting is required. This is a full-time on site position with benefits package. Salary commensurate with experience.
