About Echoing Green

Echoing Green invests in early-stage, proximate leaders (those who have been working and leading in the communities they serve) working at the intersection of innovation and justice at the moment when they are ready to turn ideas into action. We find emerging leaders with the best ideas for social innovation as early as possible and then we set them on a path to lifelong impact. Our community of nearly 1,000 social innovators includes past Fellows like First Lady Michelle Obama, the founders of organizations like Teach For America and One Acre Fund, and public figures like Van Jones. We find tomorrow’s leaders, today, and then we fund, connect, and support a new generation of social impact leaders.

In June 2020, Echoing Green launched a $50M Racial Equity Philanthropic Fund. We have spent the last 30+ years driving progress on racial equity, and with this initiative, we’re committed to making bold, increased strategic investments in our racial equity work.

Those who work at Echoing Green have a front row seat to the brightest leaders with the most innovative ideas driving social progress and racial equity across the world. They are fired up to be their partners, their advocates, and their biggest champions.
