Organization:

Founded in 1968, the Guttmacher Institute is a widely recognized leader in advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). Through a unique program of high-quality research, evidence-based advocacy, and strategic communications, the Institute works to advance SRHR in the United States and globally. Guttmacher’s overarching goal is to ensure the highest standard of sexual and reproductive health and rights for all people worldwide, with a focus on communities and populations that bear the brunt of health inequities and have historically been denied their right to sexual and reproductive health care.

Throughout its history, the Institute has been a leading source for rigorous, policy-relevant research and a wellspring for transformational policy ideas and innovations. From playing a formative role the creation of the Title X national family planning program to conducting research that has inspired abortion law change in many countries across the globe, the Institute has been a force for positive change for more than 50 years.

With a staff of 130 and an annual budget of over $30 million, Guttmacher produces a wide range of resources on topics that include abortion, contraceptive use, and adolescent SRHR. Widely recognized as one of the world’s premier think tanks, the Institute has been the recipient of numerous accolades over its 50+-year history, including the 2018 United Nations Population Award, given in recognition of its global impact and contributions to the work of international partners.

Position Summary:
