Position Description
VP, Human Resources & Business Optimization
Reports To: CFO/COO
Exempt Status: Salaried, Exempt
Commitment Type: Full-time, On-going
Base of Operations: Austin, Texas
Description: The VP, Human Resources & Business Optimization is ultimately responsible for ensuring CACTX has the operating strategies (people, processes and systems), in place to achieve strategic goals that deliver on and advance the organization’s vision to eradicate child sexual abuse. To achieve this outcome, this role develops, delivers, and measures organizational strategy, multi-year goals, and operating plans. This role leads several internal Business Units, teams, and works in close collaboration with external stakeholders to ensure CACTX’s people philosophy remains at the core of the organization’s operating system and that shared service infrastructure scales with the organization’s growth.
In Summary This Position Will:
- Lead three business units focused on ensuring CACTX staff
achieve their full potential.
- Human Resources: hiring, compensation and benefits, compliance, and learning and development functional areas.
- Operations: information technology and facilities.
- Administration: executive administration and office management.
- Develop team members to achieve their full potential.
- Provide strategic collaboration and cross functional business unit support to maximize CACTX results.
- Work amongst the organization’s leadership to advise and consult, problem solve, and plan.
Essential Job Functions:
Human Resources
- Develops and consistently champions CACTX’s ‘People Positive Philosophy’ reinforcing a future of work operating system.
- Works with staff at all levels of the organization to optimize a well-defined culture deeply rooted in the CACTX Creed (organizational values).
- Leads organizational talent planning and design initiatives to scale with growth while being complexity conscious.
- Ensures the organization has a diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy to support organizational goals and in alignment with organizational values.
- Oversees the development of the human resources strategy and operating plans.
- Develops and manages the human resources budget, staff, and vendors.
- Optimizes people-centered activities (hiring, training, learning, and development) while providing an employee experience driven by the CACTX Creed.
- Optimizes the CACTX total rewards program (compensation, benefits, perks).
Operations
Information Technology
- Oversees the organization’s IT and systems roadmap, ensuring talent productivity and organizational security.
- Serves as a consultant and advisor on organization and business unit specific systems and platforms, providing input on and ensuring alignment with organizational IT and systems policies and integrations.
- Works with stakeholders to ensure the organization’s tools and systems scale with growth and comply with investor and government regulations. Works with leadership to develop scalable processes to create efficient workflow and increase talent productivity.
- Develops and manages the IT/systems budget, staff, and vendors.
Facilities
- Ensures physical premises are safe and secure, prioritizing the health and wellness of staff.
- Ensures effective in/outsourcing of facilities/property management to meet budgetary and talent needs.
- Ensures effective condo association strategy and operations.
- Leads long-range facilities planning that scales with anticipated growth.
Project Management & Administration
- Manages shared service project management programming to support multi-disciplinary projects across the organization.
- Ensures effective executive administrative support.
- Ensures effective Board of Directors program management inclusive of communication, portal management, and meeting management.
- Oversees effective lobby management and office supply procurement.
