New York University, Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director of Major Gifts. The selected candidate will cultivate and solicit major gifts ($100,000+) from alumni, parents, and friends of the school to support priority programs and initiatives. The Associate Director will liaise with deans, faculty, and leaders to strategically align school and program needs with interests and resources of donors. The Associate Director will qualify, cultivate, and steward a portfolio of 200+ prospects and develop appropriate strategies to secure gifts and achieve fund raising goals. The selected candidate will also collaborate with development, alumni relations, and annual giving teams to develop and manage programs and events that meaningfully engage and motivate major gift donors.The selected candidate will have a bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience in fundraising or an equivalent combination. The selected candidate will have a proven ability to cultivate and solicit donors, coupled with strong strategic thinking skills. In addition, excellent relationship management, written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, initiative, and ability to collaborate with others are essential. Experience with fundraising in an academic and/or non-profit environment is preferred.
