Director of Development, Strategy and Fundraising Marketing  

The Director of Development is responsible for building and executing the development plan, and implementing the information technology systems to support the function. She or he also is responsible for running special events.  

Reporting to and in partnership with the CEO, the Development Director will spearhead development efforts. A new position in the organization, the Director will have the opportunity to build the development and fundraising strategy function.


  • Develop and execute JFSGNH annual fundraising strategy plan
  • Secure financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations
  • Manage the CRM database and oversee staff responsible for data entry and gift processing
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors
  • Create and execute a strategy for a large sustained base of annual individual donors
  • Oversee organization of special events
  • Develop and track proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising


  • BA (required), MA (a plus)
  • Five-plus years experience in development and/or fundraising strategy
  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of CRM database
  • Ability to work with confidential material
  • PLEASE NOTE: this a part time position starting at 25 hours per week with the potential to increase after the first 6 months
  • This position is fully remote through the pandemic until safety no longer a concern
