Working on the Development team, you will build strong donor
management and relations, including acquisition, cultivation and
stewardship strategies, in order to secure private revenue to
resource Start Early’s strategic priorities.
The Manager, Educare Collaborative Fundraising plans, supports
and executes joint fundraising initiatives in the national Educare
Network, working closely with Network members and the Start Early
development team. The Manager also facilitates opportunities
for peer learning and knowledge exchange among local fundraising
staff across the Network.
This position is able to be 100% remote.
Reporting to the Vice President, Educare Fundraising
Partnerships you will:
Lead and execute new collaborative fundraising efforts in the
national Educare network in partnership with member Educare
Manage identification, qualification and cultivation of
potential funders for the Educare Network, in collaboration with
Educare Network members and Start Early’s development team. Engage
and solicit specific funding prospects.
Liaison with school fundraising staff on collaborative
fundraising opportunities, including those that originate from the
national level (Start Early) as well as from the local and regional
Staff a subcommittee of Educare Network members that guides
planning and implementation of new joint fundraising efforts. Plan
meeting agendas and draft meeting materials. Document fundraising
plans and decisions. Ensure vital policies, protocols and
agreements are in place to coordinate fundraising efforts across
the Network. Track progress on metrics of success related to
collaborative fundraising work.
Lead, develop and offer peer to peer learning opportunities for
local Educare fundraising staff. Facilitate the sharing of
knowledge, fundraising resources, strategies, and professional
development among local fundraisers across the Network. Use the
Network’s digital library to promote peer exchange in
Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, social work, education,
communications, business management, liberal arts. M.A.
At least 5 years of experience in non-profit fundraising,
communications and/or marketing.
Experience fundraising in a federated network of organizations
preferred but not required.
Experience with grant writing and donor cultivation.
Strong communication skills and a track record building and
managing relationships with funders and partners.
