The Association of Junior Leagues International

Senior Vice President, League Learning

New York, New York

The Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI) welcomes applications and nominations for its next Senior Vice President, League Learning (SVP). This is a critically important appointment for AJLI. On the precipice of its centennial in 2021, AJLI seeks a seasoned training and development professional with deep experience in instructional design and curriculum development and success in collaborating to create a comprehensive learning strategy for varied constituencies. This is an exciting time for the next SVP to reimagine training and development for Junior League leaders and members that is well aligned with the future of the Junior League movement.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the SVP has the opportunity to be a strategic, visible, creative, innovative, and high-impact leader to partner across the organization to develop and implement a robust set of workshops and trainings. The next SVP must be dedicated to supporting a dynamic association of diverse volunteer-led leagues, which are strengthening women as leaders and catalysts for change in their communities. The next SVP will work closely with the CEO, other senior leaders, and members to shape and implement AJLI’s vision and strategy within the framework of the association’s policies and procedures. Additionally, the SVP provides consultation and facilitation to Junior Leagues on all matters related to their own curriculum design and development and will establish standards and processes to ensure alignment and relevance of high-quality content delivery when working with external partners. The SVP will be passionate about the Junior League mission, promoting learning among its members and communicating an understanding of the unique issues facing the Leagues while embracing diversity and inclusion as a core value and strategic strength of AJLI.

The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in training and development, curriculum design, and implementation. The SVP will advance AJLI’s learning culture, partner with Leagues to identify learning gaps and training needs, lead the design, development, and delivery of strategic learning opportunities for members, leverage and enhance existing learning systems, software, technology and methods, and assess and evaluate offerings to ensure desired learning outcomes are achieved. The SVP will partner across the organization and with external consultants to deliver high-quality, consistent, and engaging training content.

AJLI has retained Isaacson, Miller, a national executive search firm, to assist with this search. Inquiries, nominations, and applications should be directed in confidence to the firm at  www.imsearch.com/7812.

Priority consideration will be granted before February 15, 2021. Electronic submission is strongly encouraged.
