Development Director, Freshwater Research, Environmental Education, & Ecological Restoration

Stroud Water Research Center seeks a full-time development director to head our ongoing fundraising and outreach needs. Reporting to the executive director, the development director will lead a development team in designing and implementing fundraising strategies that include donor relations and solicitation, curating our donor database, grant writing, fundraising event management, and assisting with communications such as annual reports, newsletters, and social media campaigns. The development director will also contribute leadership towards diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, particularly as this effort expands awareness among our supporters and broadens the diversity and inclusivity of our supporters. The development director will work closely with the executive director, senior leadership from the science, education, and restoration departments, and the controller’s office in pursuit of philanthropic revenue to support the Stroud Center and its mission to advance knowledge and stewardship of freshwater systems through global research, education, and watershed restoration.
