Senior Development Officer

Senior Development Officer - The Thomas Jefferson Foundation is seeking a Senior Development Officer to oversee a critical segment of our fundraising efforts, which empowers Monticello’s mission of education and preservation. Reporting to the Director of Development, this position will manage an individual portfolio of donors who give $6,500 or more annually, actively contribute to department-wide strategic planning, monitor revenue and projections, prepare department communications, and directly supervise two development officers. Candidates should demonstrate excellent organizational, writing, and interpersonal skills, proficiency with MS Office including Excel, and experience managing staff. Some travel will be required, and evening and weekend commitments should be expected. Bachelor’s degree is required, 8+ years in the development field preferred. Interest in American history and experience with Raiser’s Edge a plus. Applications accepted through March 19.
