As Chief Development Officer for USA Basketball, this position will be responsible for philanthropic activities and fundraising for the USA Basketball Foundation. This position will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer of USA Basketball while also working with the USA Basketball Foundation Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop revenue generating and fundraising activities to support USAB and its Foundation
  • Establish budget and financial projections for fundraising platforms and related costs
  • Maintain governance, compliance and operations of the Foundation
  • Create relationships with USA Basketball Board of Directors, Constituent members, basketball stakeholders and staff to create a holistic strategic plan for the Foundation
  • Pursue grant opportunities
  • Additional duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of proven experience in revenue generation, fundraising and philanthropy
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong instincts, judgment and integrity
  • Self-starter who can formulate and implement strategy
  • Passion for basketball and understanding of the U.S. basketball community and stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) preferred
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary Range: $150,000-$200,000
  • Full-time position located at National Headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colorado
