Leadership Roundtable Mission

Leadership Roundtable promotes best practices and accountability in the management, finances, communications, and human resources development of the Catholic Church in the U.S., including greater incorporation of the expertise of the laity.


Position Overview

Working with and reporting to the Partner, Institutional Advancement, the Development Manager assists in the implementation of effective fundraising strategies, donor solicitations, and stewardship.  This position manages the day-to-day development operations of Leadership Roundtable to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and impact. Additionally, this position provides support to the Development Department's multi-faceted internal and external activities, initiatives, and projects. This position manages grant submissions, stewardship, and gift acknowledgement processes.  The Development Manager may occasionally represent Leadership Roundtable at virtual events.


Primary Responsibilities 

    Under the direction of the Partner, Institutional Advancement,  assists in preparing and submitting proposals and stewardship reports to foundations, corporations, and individuals  Manages the entire donor stewardship process under direction of the Partner, which includes gift processing, acknowledgement letters, thank you notes and other correspondence  Maintains Raiser’s Edge donor database records including current and prospective donor inquiries, contacts, relationships, gift intentions and affiliations Manages the workflow for development communications and pertinent marketing materials used by the Partners, and board members for visits with donors and prospects   Provides administrative support including coordination of meetings or other types of contact for the purposes of cultivating donors and stewarding relationships  Assists and supports in execution and planning of organization's special events. Includes donor communications, record keeping, logistics and timeline management  Collaborates to develop and update necessary tools for successful fundraising, i.e., moves management processes, brochures, spreadsheets, etc.  Assists with necessary support services to create and maintain a productive and efficient work environment in order to meet the goals of the development department Handles, in a timely manner, special assignments and projects as directed by the Chief Development Officer with some cross responsibility within the organization's finance, communications and program efforts  Represents the Development Department in a positive manner, maintaining confidentiality of privileged information 



    Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a philanthropic organization with development background  Strong writing skills An understanding of Catholic stewardship and philanthropy; commitment to the mission and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, and ability to serve and assist others and effectively communicate to all constituents Must be flexible to adapt to changing needs, multiple assignments, and the ability to maintain high level of  confidentiality The ability to communicate with significant and influential individuals  A commitment to the Association of Fundraising Professionals Code of Ethics and Donor Bill of Rights with particular regard to donor confidentiality and privacy Self-motivated and ability to work independently but in collaboration with the full team Excellent interpersonal skills, including listening and the ability to remember names, faces

and constituent relationship information and history

    Raiser’s Edge experience required, familiarity with G-Suite Business preferred   Candidates providing a cover letter and resume will be considered
