UCLA Development - Annual Giving and Campus Engagement

Through the years, the UCLA Fund has provided sustenance for our Bruin community to stand strong in periods of change. As our world grapples with the ongoing global pandemic and the movement for racial equity, UCLA’s commitment to upholding our missions of teaching, research and service remains unwavering – ever guided by the safety and welfare of our Bruins. Our Annual Giving team connects donors with opportunities to help other Bruins thrive and support the excellence that is now synonymous with a UCLA education. We rely on the development and delivery of compelling mass communications to help tell the story in how we all can harness the power of UCLA to affect real change and build a brighter future for all Bruins. To lead these efforts, UCLA seeks an Associate Director of Communications & Campus Partnerships.

As the Associate Director of Communications & Campus Partnerships, you will be responsible for executing and managing UCLA’s Annual Giving mass communication efforts and will write, edit and implement high-quality communications and materials across all channels of communications for solicitations.  Your strong eye for editing will oversee strategy and content to ensure a high standard of quality control for UCLA Annual Giving’s print, social media, digital and website initiatives. As the Associate Director, you will actively collaborate with all campus-wide development professionals to seek out the stories that will build cohesive and sustainable annual giving messaging.

Ideal candidates for this role will have a minimum of three to five years of professional writing experience, preferably with a focus on writing solicitations in a creative and persuasive manner. You will bring to this role excellent verbal communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to work equally well independently and as a team leader within and across and a wide array of departments and constituents. In addition, you are dedicated, passionate, resilient and results-driven with a record of accomplishment in succeeding at challenging assignments and producing work that is on point, on target, highly polished and suitable to represent the #1 public university in the country.
