The Stimson Center is a nonprofit, nonpartisan think tank which for three decades has been a leading voice on urgent global issues. Founded in the twilight years of the Cold War, the Center pioneered practical new steps toward stability and security in an uncertain world. Today, as changes in power and technology usher in a challenging new era, Stimson is at the forefront: engaging new voices, generating innovative ideas and analysis, and building solutions to promote international security, prosperity, and justice. Over the last 5 years, Stimson has grown 50% percent in revenue, added 11 new programs, tripled the size of its staff, and opened its first overseas office. The Center has not only grown in size but in stature, ranking in the top 10 think tanks in the United States as rated by an annual University of Pennsylvania study.
