The Executive Director of Development Services is responsible for determining overall strategic decisions in the designing, developing, implementing and administering fundraising and major gift operations for UC Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC ANR).

With an annual operating budget of over $200 million, UC ANR comprises 58 County Cooperative Extension Offices, 9 Research and Extension Centers and 13 statewide programs. Responsibilities include the development and implementation of a strategic plan to raise private funds in support of the UC ANR mission; and oversight of the fundraising activities of the unit's professional staff.

Determines objectives and directs the development programs including prospect identification through research, marketing and cultivation, annual fund campaigns, major gift solicitations of individuals, corporations, foundations, and other non-profit entities, donor acknowledgment, recognition and stewardship, planned giving, endowed fund stewardship, events, database manage and internal and external fundraising communications. The Executive Director maintains a small major gift portfolio of key donors and prospects.
