B Lab Global coordinates the B Global Network to build the B Corp movement, including guiding strategic planning to ensure the network is aligned on our shared objectives and outcomes to achieve our theory of change. It also facilitates communication and collaboration across regions and between partners and the certification teams, rolls out global policies, and develops new programs and products to deliver on B Lab Global’ s vision.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In a rapidly changing time globally and a rapidly scaling moment for the B Corp movement, the Strategic Growth team seeks an excellent candidate to design and implement a multi-year, multi-million dollar fundraising strategy and accelerate our fundraising efforts to reach our goals for rapid scale. This person will also grow the team and build out the fundraising function at B Lab.  The global network has an overall budget around $30 million, and B Lab Global has a budget of $ 22 million, of which B Lab raises $8-9 million annually through philanthropy to help support its initiatives.  The primary source of funding has come from foundations or government organizations closely aligned with B Lab’s mission.  To date, B Lab has raised over $70 million.

B Lab is poised for a step change in philanthropic support if led by a creative, driven Head of Strategic Growth. Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Strategic Growth is responsible for creating and implementing comprehensive annual and multi-year fundraising strategies and leading a high-performing team. The Head of Strategic Growth will also play a leading role in the building and execution of a multi-year, fundraising campaign, expected to start in FY21. B Lab has ambitious plans to raise $50-100 million over the next five years to support opportunities to advance our mission. The new Head of Strategic Growth will build a talented team of fundraisers to complement the 3 current fundraising staff members and be responsible for dramatically increasing B Lab’s funding from individual donors and institutional funders. B Lab seeks people who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and thrive in ambiguity yet can communicate their vision for the team clearly and implement their plan.
