Assistant Director of Development
Assistant Director of Development - The Thomas Jefferson Foundation is seeking an Assistant Director of Development to oversee a critical segment of our philanthropic outreach that supports Monticello's mission of education and preservation. Reporting to the Director of Development, this position will supervise a team of three Development Officers who work with donors giving $6,500 or more annually. The Assistant Director will also manage a portfolio of donors, actively contribute to department-wide strategic planning, monitor revenue and projections, and assist in preparing department communications. Candidates should demonstrate excellent organizational, writing, and interpersonal skills, proficiency with MS Office including Excel, and experience managing staff. Some travel will be required, and evening and weekend commitments should be expected. Bachelor's degree is required, 8+ years in the development field preferred. Interest in American history and experience with Raiser's Edge a plus. Open until filled.
