As a member of the central Donor Relations and Stewardship team, the Donor Relations Coordinator will serve an integral role in stewarding the university’s most generous donors. The Donor Relations Coordinator will support members of a dynamic team, assist with strategic division-wide initiatives and projects and launch and manage constituent data and metrics for donor relationship and stewardship campus-wide. This individual will be multifaceted and oversee the department budget, manage all expenses, independently communicate with both vendors and internal constituents on payment or disbursements, and maintain the office calendar, email account, and phone line.

The Coordinator will also serve as a data specialist and track, compile and conduct analysis on stewardship metrics for the team and the schools and colleges, maintain accurate data for the university’s highest level donors in donor recognition societies, perform regular audits of donor data and pull data for university leadership acknowledgments. Additionally, this individual will assist in the coordination and execution of several presidential-level donor relations events. These events are held throughout the year, and the coordinator will provide front-line customer service to university stakeholders, manage donor rsvp correspondence, and oversee the timeline management, invitation lists, and data entry and analysis for each event.

Education (include licenses, certifications, etc.):
Bachelor’s degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the degree.

Experience:
Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of the importance of donor relations and stewardship in philanthropy. Required experience is broken down as follows:

2 years of administrative or logistical management experience with a Bachelor’s Degree; OR
4 years of administrative or logistical management experience with an Associate’s Degree; OR
6 years of administrative or logistical management experience with a High School Diploma or GED.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Self-starter with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to donors and the university.
Strong customer service experience.
Exceptional writing and interpersonal skills.
Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel and experience working with databases/ CRMs.
