Associate Director, Individual and Corporate Giving

 

  • Oversee Annual Fund giving  
    • Develop and execute annual giving strategy, including setting revenue goals, developing campaigns and collateral, and maintaining campaign calendar 
    • Design new and execute existing donor engagement strategies to identify prospects and increase funding from current and lapsed donors
    • Collaborate closely with external affairs team to execute fundraising campaigns, grow mailing lists, and maintain donor segmentations 
    • Develop and execute solicitation plans customized for donor segments
    • Draft donor cultivation materials, including collateral for both mailed and digital solicitation and donor acknowledgment materials
  • Oversee execution of Major Gift program
    • In conjunction with Director of Development, develop and oversee the execution of annual major donor strategy
    • Design and implement a prospect research strategy to level up existing donors and expand the pipeline of major gift prospects 
    • Develop individual stewardship plans and oversee the execution of well-crafted moves management strategies
    • Draft major gift solicitation materials and develop ask decks 
    • Support Director of Development, President & Attorney-in-Charge, members of the Board, and others in stewarding major donors 
    • Maintain a portfolio of individual mid-level and major donors
    • Support Corporate fundraising
      • Support identification and cultivation of prospective corporate supporters  
      • Draft solicitation materials targeted at corporate giving 
      • Liaise with external affairs and Pro Bono department team to develop new strategies to recognize corporate partners
    • Oversee database management and gift processing systems 
      • Serve as lead administrator for Salesforce database, managing users across development team
      • Develop strategies to maximize Salesforce database in support of fundraising efforts 
      • Ensure accurate record-keeping, timely acknowledgement of donors, and supervise monthly reconciliation process
    • Manage organization’s Young Professionals Committee
      • Develop strategies to engage young professionals as a source of fundraised revenue  
      • Collaborate with Pro Bono department to identify prospects and develop engagement strategies  
    • Support special event fundraising, including the annual Gala and other fundraising and cultivation events as they arise. 
    • Supervise Development Coordinator 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years in a professional setting; 3 years of experience in individual or corporate fundraising
  • Understanding of fundraising best practices with a demonstrated record of accomplishment growing philanthropic revenue and donor engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute donor stewardship plans
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a comfort working with high net worth individuals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to draft polished and compelling solicitation materials
  • Experience working with a donor database; experience with Salesforce preferred
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Sense of humor
