The Report Team Manager is responsible for developing web reports, fulfilling ad hoc data and report requests, and providing end user support in these capacities. The Manager is also responsible for supervising other report writer/application support positions within the department. The successful candidate is also responsible for investigating and resolving transactional and data-related issues of Blackbaud products.
Produce or support the production of standard, custom, and dashboard reports utilizing data warehouse and transactional systems. Support and maintain the University Advancement web-based reporting infrastructure built in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) while adhering to internal standards and change management practices. Fulfill data requests for mailing lists, donor rolls, demographic and giving analyses, and other requests. Assist in the design and support for the FSU university Advancement data warehouse.
Perform business requirements gathering and analysis, and clearly communicate findings to various stakeholders. Participate in thorough testing and validation efforts ensuring timely and accurate results in a team environment. Protect confidential information. Design, create, and maintain application and business process related documentation. Provide appropriate service, support, advice, guidance, and training to end users regarding technical and reporting issues, and capabilities and functions of the reporting systems.
Managing the Report Team
Manage the Report Writer/Application Support positions within the department. Provide data manipulation and reporting assistance to other departments as needed, and assist with the development of audit reports in support of data management integrity. Effectively utilize Microsoft
Team Foundation Server in proper source code management. Participate as a member of the FSU Advancement Data Integrity Committee (FADIC). Adheres to Information Services change management policies and procedures.
Assist with IS management duties & other
Using advanced analytical skills, provide comprehensive assessments to management that interpret patterns and trends, and determine overall data quality. Other duties as required.
Bachelor's degree and two years of experience, or a combination of appropriate post high school education and experience equal to six years.
Detail oriented and organized with an ability to meet deadlines.
Strong aptitude for diagnosing end user problems, identifying and implementing solutions.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office products suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), or equivalent software.
Ability to function independently while working well in a ‘team oriented” environment, taking the initiative to be productive and efficient.
Ability to maintain consistent and positive communication with the Foundation.
Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously and accurately in a detail-oriented environment.

Minimum of 2 years of providing implementation and technical support of CRM software, Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge and/or BBCRM software.
Knowledge of T-SQL.
Knowledge of SQL or similar query language.
Working knowledge of relational database architectures.
Strong knowledge of higher education fundraising principles.
Experience with developing and implementing reporting vehicles and using CRM software to query, extract and/or load data.
Ability to effectively communicate with users of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.

This is a soft money funded position, with renewal based on available funds and the needs of the University.
