Responsibilities

The Prospect Research Analyst identifies broad prospect pools and provides research on individuals, corporations, and foundations.

Conducts In-depth Analysis

As part of the research team, identify qualified, suspects/prospects pools for Strategy Partners’ use with Colleges/Units.

Conducts In-depth Research

Develop concise and relevant prospect profiles, providing in-depth biographical data, financial/net worth analysis, indicators of possible philanthropic interest and eventual intent of potential donors. Conduct pre-qualifications.

Data Management

Participate in prospect research data-entry and reporting. Protect confidential information. Other duties as required.

Liaison & Other

Liaison between Colleges/Units development officers and Advancement Services. Other duties as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and experience equal to six years. (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)

Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.

Proficiency in the Microsoft Office products suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), or equivalent software.

Must be a self-starter, comfortable working independently.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously and accurately in a detail-oriented environment.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and successfully manage competing deadlines.  

Ability to handle confidential, sensitive information with the highest degree of professionalism.

Skilled in utilizing the internet for research purposes.

Preferred

Knowledge of fundraising practices.

Minimum of one year of research experience.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Strong focus on customer service and proactive problem resolution.
