Position Summary

The Met is seeking a Board Liaison who will be responsible for interfacing with members of the Board of Directors. Tasks for this position include setting up meetings, preparing minutes of all Board and Committee meetings, keeping corporate records, preparing correspondence and other clerical and administrative support. The ideal person for this role will be proactive, adaptable, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings for the full Board of Directors and various Board Committees.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and correspondence to Board Members.
  • Take/transcribe minutes for meetings of the full Board of Directors and various Board Committees.
  • Assist General Counsel in the preparation of documents necessary for meetings.
  • Maintain files and keep record books.
  • Carry out various other administrative tasks as needed; copies, faxes, deliveries, e-mails, memos, etc.
  • Paralegal tasks as needed
Qualifications & Skill Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree required.
  • Excellence in written, oral and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • The initiative to work independently yet take direction well.
  • The adaptability to handle difficult situations.
  • The ability to work well with senior executives and members of the Met board.
  • Fluency with all basic computer programs, including word processing and spreadsheets.
Physical Demands:
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear
  • Frequently required to use repetitive hand motion and to stand, walk, reach, bend
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 20 pounds.
