Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is a highly regarded nonprofit applied research division of the Georgia Institute of Technology, one of the world’s top-ranked research universities.  With more than 2,700 scientists, engineers, and staff, GTRI develops advanced technology solutions and large-scale system prototypes to address the most difficult problems in national security, economic development, and the overall human condition.

GTRI is seeking a highly qualified individual for the position of Deputy Director of Research (DDR) for the Information & Cyber Sciences Directorate (ICSD).  Reporting to the Director of GTRI, the Deputy Director, Research ICSD will manage a $200M, 500-person research and development unit focusing on cyber research, cybersecurity, command and control, mission assurance, data analytics, information technology and systems, and quantum technologies. 

The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent technical field and have 15 or more years of relevant experience in leading a large DoD focused, diverse engineering research organization, and technical experience delivering cutting edge cyber capabilities for government applications.
