The Martha’s Vineyard Preservation Trust, known as Vineyard Trust, is seeking an Executive Director. The Trust owns and maintains more than 20 diverse historic properties central to the beautiful island of Martha’s Vineyard. Our properties include a heritage center, performing arts facilities, commercial buildings, a working farm, places of worship, a house museum, wedding and reception venues, retail establishments, and the nation’s oldest carousel. Through its years of stewardship, the Trust strives to strengthen and cultivate the spirit of community, celebrate the island’s unique character, history, and ensures the Trust’s mission that these invaluable assets remain landmarks for life. Candidates for the position should have demonstrated achievements leading a nonprofit and/or for-profit organization. The Executive Director will be expected to possess proven competencies in fundraising, property management and fiscal oversight. Candidates will be required to commit to living full-time on Martha’s Vineyard working with the island community and for the Board Chairperson and Executive Committee.
