The Shared Humanity Project is seeking to hire a fundraiser who has 10 - 20 years experience; is not interested in working for a big shop; wants to utilize their skills, experience, and networks; has passion for the work we are doing; and can devote all their time to one client.

This is a position with a flexible schedule and you can work from home, wherever you are located.

The organization has raised $1.3M in seed and operating funds and seeks initially to match that with another $1.3M to help launch The National Plan to End Poverty.

Experience preferred includes the following:

  1. Ten+ years securing large grants and major gifts (greater than $100K)
  2. Five+ years of national fundraising experience, across the philanthropic sector (Foundation, Corporate, Individual, Government)
  3. Pursuit of non-traditional sources of support
  4. Awareness of current and innovative funding opportunities
  5. Working with elected officials (local, state, and/or federal fundraising experience)
  6. Established relationships in the philanthropic sector

The scope of work includes:

  1. Gaining familiarity with SHP, its goals, and the National Plan to End Poverty (NP)
  2. Identifying and discussing funding streams
  3. Helping to develop, organize, and implement fundraising plans
  4. Setting up and attending individual/organization meetings (traditional and non-traditional)
  5. Attending in-person and video meetings with the founders
  6. Setting up small town halls and convenings as appropriate
  7. Designing and implementing end-of-year fundraising plan
  8. Reviewing proposals being submitted by SHP team
  9. Assisting with donor management
