The San Francisco-Marin Food Bank is comprised of a dedicated team of approximately 150 staff working collaboratively to provide close to 50 million pounds of food to over 210,000 people in the Bay Area – a region where 1 in 4 people are at risk of hunger. POSITION PURPOSE
The Project and Change Manager is responsible for operationalizing and managing large scale and/or cross-functional strategies in the programs work plan and leading implementation through change management to ensure the programs department is effectively executing work planning objectives to achieve our mission.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Project Management
• Creating long-and short-term plans, including
setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines and
allocating resources.
• Delegating tasks on the project to employees
best positioned to complete them.
• Identifying and managing potential risks and
liabilities of multiple projects.
• Assisting in the definition of project scope
and goals.
• Making effective decisions when presented with
multiple options for how to progress with the project.
• Serving as a point of contact for teams when
multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team
actions remain in synergy.
• Communicating with key stakeholders to keep the
project aligned with strategic intentions.
• Performing quality control on the project
throughout development to maintain the standards expected.
• Adjusting schedules and targets on the project
as needed.
• Motivating people involved in the project to
complete tasks on time.
Change Management
• Apply a change management process and tools to
create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a
project or initiative.
• Support the design, development, delivery and
management of communications.
• Conduct impact analyses, assess change
readiness and identify key stakeholders.
• Provide input, document requirements and
support the design and delivery of training programs.
• Support and engage senior leaders and key
stakeholders.
• Integrate change management activities into
project plan.
• Define and measure success metrics and monitor
change progress.
Leadership
• Act as a liason between the programs and other
cross-functional departments.
• Lead the advancement of the organizational work
plan.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
• Effectively develops, manages and reports on
project milestones and completions
• Appropriately develops written communication
and tools for project implementation
• Conducts appropriate presentations and
trainings
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/KNOWELDGE/EXPERIENCE:
• Experience and knowledge of project management
principles, methodologies, and tools
• Experience and knowledge of change management
principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Experience with large-scale organizational
change efforts.
• Experience with operationalizing and executing
large-scale organizational strategies.
• Experience or knowledge working in Food Bank or
non-profit setting.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Proficient in project management software
solutions.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint,
Word etc.) including advanced excel skills
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to
establish and maintain strong relationships.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and
negotiation skills.
• Ability to clearly articulate messages to a
variety of audiences.
• Ability to make important decisions under
pressure.
• Problem-solving and root cause identification
skills
• Ability to delegate effectively
• Priority setting, organization and time
management skills
• A solid understanding of how people go through
a change and the change process.
• Flexible and adaptable; able to work in
ambiguous situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Project Management Professional (PMP)
Certification or equivalent.
• Change management certification or designation
desired. (Prosci, CCMP, CMS, CPCM)

SALARY: starting at $65386.46 to $76924.52
COMMUNICATION AND COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of complex intellectual and practical problems.
MATHEMATICS ABILITY:
Ability to perform advanced math skills,
use decimals to compute ratios and percentages, and to draw and
interpret graphs.
LANGUAGE ABILITY: Fluency in English. Demonstrated excellence in writing and editing.
