Job Summary

Responsible for the development and implementation of grants and external funding in support of the Mission and Strategic goals of the College to secure funding from federal, state, or local agencies. Provide pre-award advice, guidance, compliance administration, and post-award services.

Essential Functions

Initiate and write grants and funding proposals, direct external funding development with the Grants Management staff based on stated needs from within the District.

Direct the regular monitoring and review of all active grants or other funding to ensure compliance with the stated objectives, budget, and timely completion and submission of deliverables. Ensure all funding applicants understand objectives and compliance requirements.

Coordinate and plan grant development strategies in collaboration with administration to address strategic funding priorities. Develop and direct the search plan for available external funding. Direct and coordinate the development of the system for identifying potential resources. Facilitating proposal development with employees and external partners.

Inform the College and community partners of grant regulations and legislation affecting active and new external funding. Provide technical information, guidance, and advocacy within the College and Community.

Analyze, assess, summarize, and write data reports to support grant and other funding applications.

Provide in-house technical expertise and counsel. Develop and present workshops, facilitate and provide guidance meetings to help applicants. Serve as the liaison for coordination between the Grants Management Office and the College Resource Development/Foundation Office.

Responsible for personnel management activities of assigned staff, including recommendation for employment, supervision, performance evaluation, guidance, support concerning professional development training, and compliance with policies and regulations.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:1. Master's degree and four (4) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.NOTE: A copy of the transcript reflecting this required education MUST be submitted for consideration and reflect completed coursework and degrees conferred. The candidate must be fully qualified for the position at the time of application.2. Experience with successful grant writing, management, and reporting.3. Effective interpersonal and communication skills including tact and diplomacy.4. Ability to effectively plan and organize with attention to detail and follow through.5. Ability to oversee all phases of grant development to include grant writing and reporting.6. Ability to identify and recommend potential funding sources.7. Ability to interpret, implement, and maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.8. Experience managing and recommending budgets.9. Experience supervising and managing personnel and building effective teams.10. Ability to effectively deliver public presentations, and effectively present training and instruction.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to walk, sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
