The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a unique global network of policy research centers in Russia, China, Europe, the Middle East, India and the United States, is seeking a Development Associate to join its development team in Washington, DC.

The Development Associate will report to the Managing Director for Development and will work closely with scholars and staff in research programs and global centers to coordinate grant management, proposal development and program fundraising activities. The Development Associate will manage the grant proposal process for core foundation and government donors and assist with others, oversee the grant reporting process, coordinate with Carnegie’s finance team and research staff on grant expenditure, aid in managing program and global center funding pipelines and grant record-keeping, and support stewarding of program donors.

The position requires 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably with fundraising and/or grant management, and working knowledge of fundraising databases. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and possess excellent organization and communication skills as well as numerical fluency. The ability to manage and meet deadlines is essential as is the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and be flexible towards changing priorities.
