The ACLU seeks a full-time position of Development Program Associate in the Development  Department of the ACLU’s National office in New York, NY.

Reporting to the Development Project Director, the Development Program Associate will be responsible for serving as a project management associate, providing support across multiple Development department teams. Responsibilities will include developing and maintaining resources that bolster internal management practices and organizational efficiencies, while providing logistical support to ensure operational success for the Development department.   RESPONSIBILITIES
    - Assist in the creation and implementation of systems of operation and internal coordination for the Development department  - Help manage the full life cycle of department wide projects by tracking deliverables, timelines, accountability and progress to goals   - Assist with designing holistic project plans in coordination with other Development units and departments by establishing clear project objectives, determining priorities, identifying risks and defining discrete tasks through skilled project management  - Help manage inter- and intra-departmental projects, assessing progress to goals on multiple project plans, ensuring quality control, tracking deliverables and outcomes, and transitioning completed projects to long-term program owners   -Provide logistical support to Development Department Directors, including calendar and scheduling management, meeting coordination (department-wide and other events), planning, scheduling, material preparation, and invoicing    -Contribute to success of key internal and external meetings, including scheduling, set-up, preparing and printing materials, and taking notes with follow-up after   -Draft and edit various documents including internal and external communications   -Research, contribute to, and produce content for sharing information  -Engage in special projects and other duties as assigned -Center principles of equity, inclusion, and belonging in all work, embedding the values in program development, policy application, and organizational practices and processes -Commitment to the mission of the ACLU -Demonstrate a commitment to diversity within the office using a personal approach that values all individuals and respects differences in regards to race, ethnicity, age, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, religion, disability and socio-economic circumstance -Commitment to work collaboratively and respectfully toward resolving obstacles and/or conflicts
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
    -Exceptional organizational, planning and project management skills   -Demonstrate ability to communicate expectations and timelines in a clear and concise manner   -Ability to work proactively and adapt quickly to changing priorities    -Strong interpersonal skills that contribute to a positive and productive working environment   -Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, simultaneously handle many tasks; work efficiently, meeting multiple deadlines, while remaining composed under pressure    -Self-motivated and possesses the ability to work independently as well as within a team    -Excellent analytical, writing and organizational skill  -Demonstrate ability to manage multifaceted projects across departments with multiple stakeholders    -Experience working at complex national or international nonprofits    -Experience managing schedules
COMPENSATION

The annual salary for this position is $72,141 (Level J). This salary is reflective of a position based in New York, NY. This salary will be subject to a locality adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting. Note that most of the salaries listed on our job postings reflect New York, NY salaries, where our National offices are headquartered.
