The Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft is
seeking a full-time Major Gifts Officer to join a growing
development team. Public interest work relies on a strong
development capacity to raise funds from diverse sources and
approaches. Quincy Institute is a young organization, established
in 2019. This is a great opportunity for someone who has experience
in major gifts and a passion for QI’s mission and vision. The Major
Gifts Officer will report to the Director of Development.
This position requires a candidate with a strategic mindset, clear
and compelling writing and editing, creativity, and social
intelligence. The candidate will assist the Director of Development
and QI leadership in securing major gifts, through all aspects of
the giving cycle from prospect qualification to cultivation,
solicitation and stewardship. The successful candidate will closely
follow the work of QI’s entire staff to frame the organization’s
work and articulate its success stories, crystallizing program work
into compelling concept notes, pitch documents and donor proposals.
Qualified candidates should submit a cover letter, resume,
and two writing samples (one of them ideally a concept note, slide
deck or donor proposal authored by the candidate) by August 15,
2021. For more information about the Quincy Institute for
