Chief Executive Officer, N Street Village

Position Summary
N Street Village (NSV) is seeking a new Chief Executive Officer to continue and expand the organization’s important work to help women experiencing homelessness and poverty achieve stability and make meaningful gains in their housing, income, employment, mental health, physical health, and addiction recovery.  We are seeking a seasoned nonprofit executive with a demonstrated commitment to our mission, experience leading a multi-site social services agency, and a proven ability to build and sustain successful relationships with partners and funders, including government, foundation, and individuals.  The top candidate also will serve as the organization’s primary public spokesperson, ensure the organization’s financial health and operational efficiency, and manage a talented team.
 
Responsibilities

• Vision and strategy: Lead NSV’s strategic direction; collaborate with staff, Board, and key stakeholders to set clear goals and achieve the organization’s mission
• Operations and financial management: Oversee the successful execution of NSV’s day-to-day operations, including effective financial management, reporting, and compliance
• Team leadership and culture: Continue to build upon NSV’s collaborative and inclusive culture and proactively provide professional development to our talented staff
• Relationship management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including law firms, funders, nonprofit partners, staff, government agencies, and Board members
• Communications: Serve as the principal spokesperson and passionate advocate for the organization to various local and national audiences

 
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Demonstrated commitment to NSV’s mission
• Cultural responsiveness; having an awareness of one's own cultural identity and views about difference, and the ability to learn and build on the varying norms of our community and the clients we serve
• Proven ability to develop a nonprofit social services organization’s strategic vision and successfully achieve its mission
• Previous experience in an executive leadership role, including oversight of an organization or department’s human capital, operations, and finances
• Demonstrated aptitude for building and cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders, including partners and funders
• Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
