About T1International
T1International is a global grassroots patient advocacy organization led by people with and impacted by diabetes, with a focus on type 1 diabetes. We believe in a world where everyone with type 1 diabetes has the opportunity to thrive, with affordable and sustainable access to the medicine and supplies they need. We are patient led in our work and values, and our team and community reflect a range of allies and impacted communities from caregivers, to parents, to partners, and those committed to health equity work. T1International (T1I) is leading the charge in the fight for affordable insulin and supplies worldwide. We do not accept funding from the pharmaceutical industry or any medical device manufacturer to maintain our independence and ability to speak out freely.
About the role
The goal of this new role within the organization is to further solidify our income generation activity and to diversify our funding portfolio to significantly reduce our dependence on our single seed funder beyond 2021. This role will have an initial fundraising target of $150,000 and is expected to create significant year on year growth going forward largely from major ($500+) gifts as well as expand additional foundational and grant support. This is a new role so there will be growing and learning on all sides, and we are looking for someone who is a self starter and who will work to build out the role in collaboration with the rest of the Development team.
This US-based position will report to the Development Director, who is located in the UK and oversees UK and USA fundraising strategies. Some oversight will, as a result, be held by the US National Director. T1I is a remote office environment; you will collaborate with colleagues who are based across the United States and the United Kingdom. You should be prepared to either work from home or a location of your choosing as long as you are able to work East Coast hours.
