Felician University is presently seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, outgoing and detail-oriented advancement professional to serve as the Director of Sponsored programs. The Director strategically seeks out and obtains funding opportunities that align with the University’s mission and strategic goals. S/he is responsible for the planning and execution of a successful grant funding program designed to support institutional needs in accordance with a dynamic and changing educational environment.

Required Education:BA/BS in related field required, Master’s degree preferred
Qualifications:3-5 years’ of proven research and grant writing experience, preferably in higher education or fundraising or a combination of education and relevant experience; demonstrated experience with US Department of Education (DOE) grants; proficiency in the utilization of internal grant tracking reports and calendars; demonstrated superior verbal and written communications skills; ability to accomplish goals with diplomacy and tact, working through both formal and informal channels; ability to engage and work collaboratively with diverse groups, including but not limited to senior administrators, deans, faculty, staff, students, vendors and volunteers; superior time management skills, with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects of varying priorities; ability to serve as a team leader, team member or independent operative, depending on the nature and scope of the project; valid N.J. driver’s license; willingness and availability to work flex hours, including evenings and weekends as needed; proficiency in utilizing all Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint; willingness and ability to support and promote the Franciscan Felician mission and values of the University; experience with STEM, NSF, NIH grants, as well as IRB submissions preferred.
