ROLE of the POSITION

The Director of Foundation Relations helps secure philanthropic support from private or corporate foundations for research, scholarship, and outreach programs across UNLV.  Reporting to the Senior Director, Corporate & Foundation Relations, the incumbent will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing foundation constituents, identifying new foundation prospects, and developing and implementing successful cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for foundation donors. This position engages with development officers, faculty, program directors, and other UNLV leadership and staff to direct and/or assist in program and proposal development. The director serves as university liaison to foundation program staff and officers to align the investment priorities of the foundation with UNLV’s programs, and works with the senior director of Corporate and Foundation Relations and other university colleagues in identifying projects for foundation support, and determining foundation prospects to solicit for funding.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum of five years of experience in major gift development. Experience in higher education preferred. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.

 

SALARY RANGE

Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
