Coordinator, Alumni and Student Programs

The primary function of this position is to develop and implement strategies that engage alumni and students in support of the University of Missouri primarily via MAA programs. This person will interact regularly with alumni, donors, students, faculty, staff, and other constituents.

 

  • 20% Assists in planning and executing MAA events, including Tiger Walk, Senior Sendoff, awards banquets and more. Provide on-site support for events outside of assigned focus area as appropriate.  
  • 20% Advise the Alumni Association Student Board and serve as the liaison between the Mizzou Alumni Association and the Student Board. Provide leadership and advice to student leaders, lead recruitment efforts for the group and serve as MAA contact.
  • 10% Promotes and manages graduate student programming, including the annual Mizzou 18 Award Ceremony and Banquet.
  • 25% Directs Mizzou Alumni Association efforts to recruit and retain student members in the True Tiger Network, student membership in the Mizzou Alumni Association. Coordinates programing and benefits for members, including spirit and career events.
  • 5% Oversee Legacy programming, including events and specialized messaging to Legacy families.
  • 10% Maintains relationships with vendors and on campus partners focused on Career Services for students and alumni.
  • 10% Other duties as assigned that promote tradition and pride among alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends of Mizzou. This includes collaborating with key campus offices and internal MAA staff to support outreach efforts and partnerships and to provide support for events outside assigned focus area, as appropriate. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:  1-3 years work experience in alumni and student relations or comparable professional position.   Extensive evening and weekend work.  A valid driver’s license and cell phone must be maintained.  Superior communications skills, both written and verbal.  High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office software.  Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a highly organized and effective manner.

 

Hiring Range-$38-$42k

 

 

8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., This position will be located in office in Reynolds Alumni Center, Columbia MO
