Director of Major Gifts, COE

Reporting to the Director of Development of the College of Engineering (COE), the Director of Major Gifts in the COE will qualify, cultivate, and solicit philanthropic contributions from a portfolio of Engineering alumni and friends. Solicitation range typically will fall in the range of $100,000 to $1M+. The Director of Major Gifts is responsible for the design and implementation of thoughtful, donor-centric strategies in support of college and university priorities. The Director will also assist with selected stewardship of major gift donors. S/he will be a highly motivated and experienced fundraising professional with excellent inter-personal communication skills. S/he will be deeply involved in the fundraising efforts of the College of Engineering in support of our capital campaign priorities (capital projects, experiential learning, along with scholarships and fellowships) The Engineering Advancement Team is growing to serve our 65,000+ Engineering alumni. With the college’s goal of $250M, as part of the University’s overall $1.5B ‘Boundless Impact’ campaign, the successful candidate will be joining a best-in-class advancement team.
