Culver Academies seeks to hire an experienced Advancement - Database Manager and Systems Analyst. The Advancement Database Manager & Systems Analyst will partner with the Chief Advancement Officer and Advancement Leadership in support of the Advancement Department's goals and mission. This position oversees all constituent management systems used by the Advancement Department, including data structure, data retrieval, report customization and analysis, policies and procedures, security, and data entry quality control. 

The Advancement Database Manager & Systems Analyst plays a key role in supporting advancement directors responsible for alumni relations and events; stewardship; annual fund, major gifts, planned gifts, campaign fundraising; publications; online and direct mail outreach. In addition, this position supports systems, processes, and data management associated with the recruitment and enrollment of students within the Admissions department at Culver.

The Advancement Database Manager & Systems Analyst assists with processing contributions, acknowledgments, payments, and purchase orders and reconciling all contributions and expenses with the Business Office. 

In addition to regular duties, the Database Manager & Systems Analyst is expected to participate in various clubs and activities, coach athletic teams, perform student supervisory and chaperone duties, and engage in other duties assigned by the proper authorities.

REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate will possess strong verbal and written communication skills, highly developed organizational and computer skills, will be team-oriented and will have the ability to analyze and review operational procedures, identify problem areas, and optimize performance through procedural changes.

  • Must possess a bachelor's degree.
  • Must have five or more years of experience with database implementation and management. 
  • Experience using Raiser's Edge and Slate is highly desired.
  • Experience establishing and institutionalizing constituent database best practices.
  • Experience in advancement operations and fundraising at a secondary or higher education level and familiarity with annual giving, planned giving, capital campaigns, foundation solicitations, deferred giving, stewardship, communications, and special events planning.
