Assistant Vice President, Alumni Relations

Pay Range: $99,985 per year or higher depending on education and experience

Position Summary:
The Assistant Vice President for Alumni Relations leads and administers the Office of Alumni Relations and all affiliated organizations while also serving as the Executive Director of the University of Idaho Alumni Association. Responsibilities include developing and implementing a comprehensive group of alumni programs that enhances and expands the University's relationship with its alumni by engaging alumni in quality programs and networking, and strategically directing and managing the Office of Alumni Relations staff. The Assistant Vice President administers the University of Idaho Alumni Association, the Retirees Association and the Student Alumni Relations Board. The Assistant Vice President is a member of the University's advancement leadership team and maintains strong relationships with university alumni and leaders throughout the state and region and represents alumni in the university community.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- 5 years management experience to include budgeting and supervision of personnel
- Experience recruiting, training, motivating and organizing the activities of volunteers
- 1 year experience in a leadership role in either a non-profit or higher education organization
- Experience developing, implementing and assessing strategic plans
Preferred Qualifications:
- University of Idaho alumnus/na
- Experience in a complex higher education environment
- Familiarity with strategic enrollment or career services or closely related field
- Familiarity with University of Idaho’s history and traditions, as well as awareness of Idaho higher education issues and challenges
- Familiar with state of Idaho, the history, social and cultural histories and issues on a statewide basis
- Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills that inspires, calls to action, and engages
- High degree of initiative and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with uses of and opportunities afforded by technology in alumni and advancement programs
