Development Associate

The Development Associate is the cornerstone of our excellent donor stewardship and an important member of a successful Advancement Team. The position is responsible for being part of the team cultivating strong relationships with potential and current donors and institutions. In particular, this role coordinates the ongoing thank you process for all donors, including writing and facilitating the thank you letters, processing donations, maintaining a clean and effective donor database, and ensuring donors receive the highest level of stewardship.

The ideal candidate will have strong writing, database, interpersonal, and communication skills. The position requires a results-oriented team player, and the ability to think on one’s feet. Successful applicants will be very skilled with databases and office technologies, including pulling queries, reports, and utilizing platforms such as: Slack, Asana, DonorSearch, and MobileCause. This person will be able to achieve mastery of our donor database related to our fundraising dashboard and ongoing KPI tracking.
