Position Summary:

Yeshiva University seeks a motivated, proven fundraising professional for the role of Associate Director/Director of Institutional Advancement, Graduate Schools. (The level of the role will be commensurate with candidate's experience.) This position will manage Wurzweiler, Azrieli, Ferkauf, Revel and Katz Institutional Advancement efforts. This includes managing a portfolio of major gift and planned gift donors, an annual giving campaign, each schools' Board of Overseers, and related engagement and fundraising initiatives. The incumbent will partner with the YU IA team to plan, develop, and implement a strategy that sees the Graduate Schools as part and parcel of the larger YU annual campaign. This position reports to the Associate VP of IA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage philanthropic efforts of all five graduate school Boards of Overseers, including annual and multiyear fundraising strategies, identifying, cultivating and soliciting new donors
  • Build relationships with Board members. Work with current Board members to increase giving for particular projects and annual gifts
  • Drive strategy for board engagement in collaboration with each school's dean
  • Drive strategy for alumni cultivation, in collaboration with YU Alumni Affairs and special events
  • Partner with IA Operations for outstanding acknowledgment and stewardship of major gift donors
  • Partner with school administrative leadership, faculty and staff to engage alumni
  • 150-200 prospects in portfolio capable of giving a major gift or planned gift commitment of $100,000+
  • 150 meaningful contacts a year
  • Annual dollar solicitation goals to be set in consultation with supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned


Experience & Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 5 years of experience in professional fundraising


Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent writing, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail
  • Collegiality and personal accountability are a must
  • Some travel may be required both in-state and out-of-state.
