STA007926- Call Center Manager- annual Giving

Description

Manage, coach, and mentor student workers in the Call Center for the Office of Annual Giving. Responsible for the basic development of fund-raising principles and advancement activities.

  1. Manages day-to-day operations of the Coogs Calling Coogs call center.
  2. Responsible for the recruitment and training of student workers as call center representatives.
  3. Manage and coach call center staff on best practices for call solicitations and annual giving fundamentals.
  4. Develops training, strategies, and procedures for implementation of the call center program.
  5. Develops reports on call center metrics including individual caller performance and program performance.
  6. Works with department team members to develop and prepare acknowledgements, correspondence, and solicitation materials for call center activities.
  7. Participates in assigned fundraising activities such as direct mail, special events, stewardship, etc.
  8. Provides superior customer service to donors and prospective donors as related to the Advancement Division.
  9. Maintains logs of complaints and suggestions received from donors and prospective donors to enhance future planning and training for the call center.
  10. Participates in projects to identify and implement customer service methods appropriate to the department and division needs. Participates in University-wide development activities as needed. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Along with the job duties referenced in the UH Job Description for Program Manager, Call Center 1, the following is additional posting information, outlining some of the specific expectations for this position:

o   Work an alternating schedule of Monday-Thursday 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and alternating Sundays from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.    

o   Excellent organizational and customer service skills

o   Ability to motivate a diverse group of individuals

Qualifications

Bachelors and 1 year experience

Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
