Dartmouth seeks an Associate Director of Alumni Engagement to support the goals and mission of Alumni Relations and the College by providing program leadership to engage volunteer leaders and build connections between alumni and the College. Responsibilities include planning and implementing Alumni Council meetings, volunteer weekends, communications, and other initiatives with a goal of enhancing volunteer leadership and strengthening support for institutional priorities. The Associate Director will also coordinate the alumni trustee election process, oversee alumni recognition, and facilitate activities of the Alumni Awards Committee. In addition, the successful candidate will partner strategically and collaboratively with Advancement colleagues to support divisional goals, programming, and other initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree with five or more years of related programming experience, including two years of experience in alumni relations; or the equivalent. At its core, this role requires excellent volunteer management skills, strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and demonstrated creative planning, organizational and problem-solving skills. We also require excellent initiative and strategic thinking capabilities and seek an individual that can organize their work, coordinate projects with others, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong computer literacy and an understanding of technology and emerging communication tools, including database management skills is preferred. Previous experience working with leadership committees and/or boards is desirable.
